Welcome

Welcome to Nic’s Place.  We are thankful to God that he has led you to this page.   We also invite you to join us in our informal gatherings and talk with us over a hot cup of coffee.

Nic's Place is named for Nicodemus, a person in the Bible who was a member of a group that were strict rule followers. He was also a member of the ruling body. But his life was changed when he encountered Jesus. We all have struggles-- sometimes we think there must be more to life.

If you have questions or are seeking meaning in your life, you are welcome at Nic's Place, a safe haven in your life's journey.

Why Nic’s Place

We exist to provide fellowship and encouragement for the spiritually hungry through periodic gatherings.

We exist to connect our neighbors to faith and community based services we alone are not capable of providing

We exist to worship God through our offerings of service

We come just as we are.

What We Do:

We gather together once a month to share, encourage and pray together. We are a “free range” organic gathering where all are welcome to come, explore and be uplifted.

Mission:

To encourage and engage each other in our journeys through life. God gives us all a heart and brain through which to speak with each other, and Him through Jesus Christ.

How We Live

  1. To love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, and minds; and our neighbors as ourselves

  2. To be peacemakers in our homes and communities

  3. To be guides to those who seek

  4. To stand against injustice

What We Believe

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

How We Pray

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

  • Take up the whole armor of God…praying always… —Ephesians 6:13,18

You must learn to wrestle against the things that hinder your communication with God, and wrestle in prayer for other people; but to wrestle with God in prayer is unscriptural. If you ever do wrestle with God, you will be crippled for the rest of your life. If you grab hold of God…
